OPPO BDP-93

The OPPO has created quite a name for itself with Blu-ray players for home theater enthusiasts. Prices of equipment are extremely high end and the players that you can buy at warehouse clubs, have led the OPPO unit users with truly be worth the extra bucks while providing high-end experience. So here we have a brand new OPPO BDP-93. There are some minor problems are resolved with a firmware upgrade first, already included in the release unit. Firmware upgrade takes place wirelessly using a wifi dongle is included, assuming, of course, that you have a wifi network at home. You can alternatively connect to your network using an ethernet cable.

Whether 3D is the right prescription for everyone is debatable, but the OPPO  is taking this new technology to greater heights with the introduction of OPPO BDP-93. Many attempts have been incorporated into the design and engineering to ensure that it fits the bill as a successor to the award winning BDP-93. In addition to playback of 3D adds many new features not seen in previous OPPO players such as online media streaming, home networking to share media, dual HDMI outputs and improved build quality. The best news is that all come with no increase in price!

The OPPO has a secondary HDMI output that can be transferred to the processor you. For those with, say, the latest Anthem processor, it’s a reasonable way to go. I have an older Sunfire TGP-V, however, so running the 6 analog cables into my direct input and decoding utilized internal opposition. This is probably the biggest advance on my old Sony which has the same decoding capabilities but with the quality produced far fewer. With the OPPO, dialogue remains pure and pristine, easily understood through sound effects bounce from speaker to speaker, with a low bass is directed right into the Sub. Both HDMI output allows you to utilize a direct connection to the new 3D TV while using other connections to go to a processor from 1.1 to 1.3 HDMI 1.4 without losing the ability to interconnect to the TV. What does it mean? This means you do not have to upgrade your processor! You get everything you might want a 3D-capable TV and your old processor. Let the OPPO to handle the decoding of voice and TV to handle video with direct HDMI feed. (And those with non-3D TV does not have to feel bad at all. The quality of the image is so perfect, you will not see any of this 3D).
